Customer Background & Requirements for Jaw Crusher, Cone Crusher and Sand Maker

THANH LONG TECHNICAL SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT JOINT STOCK COMPANY in Vietnam established contact with MP in June 2024. The Vietnamese company planned to invest in a commercial sand-making project for aggregate production, intending to process ordinary ore of medium hardness and unknown clay content into finished sand for external sale. The project required a design capacity of 500 tons per hour. After presenting the project details, the customer requested a complete crushing solution based on actual conditions, selecting appropriate jaw crusher, cone crusher, sand maker, vibrating screen, and vibrating feeder to ensure efficient material processing, cost-effectiveness, and reliable after-sales support.

Solution Development: Matching the Right Rock Crusher and Screen Equipment

In response to the customer's requirements for a reliable jaw crusher, efficient cone crusher, high-performance sand maker, and durable vibrating screen systems, the team conducted a thorough analysis to maximize crushing efficiency while controlling operational costs. Taking into account the customer's required production capacity of 500 t/h, the type of raw material (ordinary ore with medium hardness), the project budget, and the site conditions with equipment layout, a carefully developed solution was created with appropriately matched crushing and screening equipment.

In developing the specific solution, the following aspects were prioritized:

Capacity Matching: Jaw Crusher, Cone Crusher and Sand Maker for 500 T/H. Based on the customer's 500 t/h capacity requirement, the PEV130 jaw crusher, MHP500 multi-cylinder cone crusher, and VSI6200 sand maker are all proven selections for medium-scale production lines. Together, these three rock crusher units typically support 400 to 600 t/h for hard rock or ordinary ore crushing and sand-making. Additionally, the three vibrating screen units—2YK2060, 2YK2470, and 3YK3072—provide sufficient screening area to handle the circulating load within the closed-circuit system and effectively avoid any screening bottleneck.

Raw Material Characteristics: Why This Jaw Crusher, Cone Crusher and Sand Maker Work. Ordinary ore has moderate brittleness and is neither sticky nor wet, making it highly suitable for the three-stage crushing process consisting of a jaw crusher, a cone crusher, and a sand maker. In this setup, the MHP500 multi-cylinder cone crusher delivers high inter-particle crushing efficiency with controlled wear for medium-hardness ore. The VSI6200 sand maker provides excellent shaping effect on ordinary ore, producing well-rounded finished sand grains that are easier to sell.

Budget Requirements: Cost-Effective Crusher and Screen Selection. Mature, standard models were recommended, thereby avoiding the high costs associated with a customized solution. At the same time, the three-stage closed-circuit arrangement returns all oversize material back into the system, resulting in nearly zero waste discharge and achieving a lower operating cost per ton over the long term.

Site Conditions & Layout: Customized Support for Customer-Designed Project. Because the customer handled the project design themselves, corresponding drawing support was provided based on the site conditions that the customer supplied.

Equipment Configuration

The equipment quantities and types were selected according to the customer's needs and actual conditions. The selected jaw crushercone crushersand makervibrating screen, and vibrating feeder fully satisfy the customer's requirements and offer excellent cost-performance for aggregate production. The specific configuration is as follows:

Process Flow: From Vibrating Feeder to Jaw Crusher, Cone Crusher, Sand Maker and Vibrating Screen

The VGF1360 vibrating grizzly feeder feeds raw material into the PEV130 jaw crusher for primary crushing. After jaw crusher processing, a belt conveyor transports the material to the 2YK2060 vibrating screen, which separates it into three fractions. A return belt sends the top oversize fraction back to the jaw crusher for recirculating crushing, while the lower and middle fractions go separately to the VSI6200 sand maker and the MHP500 cone crusher for further processing.

The material crushed by the MHP500 cone crusher enters the 2YK2470 vibrating screen for screening. The bottom layer of this vibrating screen produces finished sand, a belt conveyor sends the middle layer to the VSI6200 sand maker, and the top layer returns via a return belt for recirculating crushing.

After the VSI6200 sand maker processes the material, it enters the 3YK3072 vibrating screen for finished product screening. A return belt sends the top layer of this vibrating screen back to the VSI6200 sand maker for secondary crushing, and the remaining screened fractions become finished products. This closed-circuit design ensures maximum material utilization and consistent product quality.

V. Customer Approval & Delivery of Crusher and Screen Equipment

The customer was fully briefed on the solution and equipment selection, which included the jaw crushercone crushersand makervibrating screen, and vibrating feeder. The proposal received high recognition from the customer. Both parties signed the contract smoothly, and all equipment was delivered in accordance with the contract on December 20, 2024.

Support & Results: Successful Operation of MP Jaw Crusher, Cone Crusher and Sand Maker

After the equipment arrived, comprehensive support was provided: first, solution customization, remote guidance, and provision of corresponding drawings; second, dispatching engineers to the Vietnam site for equipment commissioning; third, a 12-month warranty period starting from the date of successful commissioning; and fourth, supplying all necessary spare parts for equipment operation.

Everything has progressed smoothly. The jaw crusher, cone crusher, sand maker, vibrating screen, and vibrating feeder are currently operating normally and have successfully achieved the customer's required capacity of 500 tons per hour. The customer is very satisfied with the overall performance and results.
